Lucy Halliday (Blue Jean) has been tapped as a lead reverse Chase Infiniti and Ann Dowd in The Handmaid’s Story sequel The Testaments for Hulu.
Like The Handmaid’s Story, The Testaments relies on a novel by Margaret Atwood. And similar to the mothership sequence, the sequel is created by Bruce Miller who serves as showrunner.
The Testaments takes place within the dystopian theocracy of Gilead greater than 15 years after the occasions of The Handmaid’s Story. The story follows the lives of three girls, The Handmaid’s Story‘s Aunt Lydia (Dowd), Agnes (Infiniti) and Daisy (Halliday), whose fates turn into intertwined as they uncover the secrets and techniques of Gilead and the resistance in opposition to its regime.
Halliday’s Daisy is a younger Canadian teen, whose life is turned the wrong way up when she learns of her connection to the Republic of Gilead.
As Deadline reported, the hope is for The Handmaid’s Story lead Elisabeth Moss to visitor star on the sequel, reprising her June character who’s linked to each Agnes and Daisy.
Miller govt produces alongside fellow Handmaid’s Story govt producer Warren Littlefiend of The Littlefield Firm, with MGM Tv because the studio.
Younger Scottish actress Halliday has simply wrapped the function California Schemin’, directed by James McAvoy. She is repped by Curtis Brown Group and Myman Greenspan Fox.
